Mankwe has been hosting field trips for student groups from U.K. Universities for the past 10 years and has also provided facilities and assistance to individual students conducting research and Phd projects.
A vast amount of experience, expertise and understanding of what is required has been accumulated by the Mankwe team.
Seven U.K. Universities are now utilising Mankwe's facilities on an annual basis. Over 190 students from U.K Universities utilised Mankwe in 2007 and everyone of them and their teaching staff were very complimentary on all aspects of their visit.

Facilities Offered include:
A 4700ha wildlife reserve in South Africa's famous bushveld region.
Malaria free - safe, peaceful environment.
2000 large mammals (48 species).
250 species of birds.
14 species of small mammals.
A wide diversity of reptiles, invertebrates and amphibians.
3 vegetation types and 9 plant communities
Qualified field guides and trackers.
Transport in open vehicles and mini buses
Freedom to walk anywhere on the reserve
Practical assistance to teaching staff.

Tools and equipment
Mammal traps
Field Museum with specimens and tracking information.
A field camp which can accommodate 20 in comfort but can handle groups of 30.
Qualified chefs and catering staff.
3 Cooked meals per day.
Camp attendant to assist with all washing up and tidying.
Qualified First Aiders and easy access to 1st world medical care.
Proximity to Pilanesberg National Park and Dewildt Cheetah Sanctuary
Access to email and internet.

Mankwe has also become the base of an important and influential Earthwatch project into the ecology and density of the Brown Hyena (Project Phiri).
